DramaRomance111 min

At the height of his career, a respected British politician risks his family and public standing when he begins a secret affair with his son’s lover. Jeremy Irons is the outwardly controlled MP whose private obsession steadily overruns caution, while Juliette Binoche brings an elusive reserve to the younger woman at the center of the scandal. Miranda Richardson appears as his wife, forced to reckon with a betrayal that tears through both marriage and family. As the affair deepens behind closed doors, the cost spreads from the private sphere into a household already bound up with status, loyalty, and scrutiny.
