The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus

ActionAdventureComedyDramaFantasyMysterySci-Fi123 min

Doctor Parnassus (Christopher Plummer) runs a shabby traveling show whose magic mirror sends visitors into worlds shaped by their own imaginations. Behind the act, he’s bound to a wager with the devil, Mr. Nick (Tom Waits): after trading away immortality and then his daughter’s future, he now has to win five souls before her 16th birthday. When the troupe pulls a mysterious drifter from beneath a bridge, Heath Ledger’s Tony becomes part of the bargain, as Parnassus, Valentina (Lily Cole), and young assistant Anton (Andrew Garfield) are swept into a contest built on temptation, illusion, and old debts.
