Johnny English

ActionAdventureComedy89 min

After MI7 loses its top operatives in a disastrous funeral attack, office worker Johnny English is abruptly promoted from pencil pusher to the agency’s last available spy. Rowan Atkinson’s would-be superspy gets the case when the Crown Jewels vanish during a high-profile exhibition, sending him into gadget mishaps, security breaches, and a very public investigation. John Malkovich is the billionaire entrepreneur whose sponsorship of the event puts him near the center of the theft, even as English charges ahead with total confidence and very little finesse. The film turns a royal espionage crisis into broad slapstick, elaborate blunders, and a long string of near-catastrophes.
