ActionAdventureDramaRomanceWar127 min

In 1984 London, Angelina Jolie is Sarah Jordan, an American married into a wealthy British family whose insulated life shifts when she meets Nick Callahan (Clive Owen), a doctor asking for help with relief work in war-torn Africa. What begins as a response to one appeal pulls Sarah far beyond charity events and drawing rooms, into refugee camps and conflict zones stretching from Ethiopia to Cambodia and Chechnya. The story follows her growing involvement in humanitarian work, and the complicated bond that develops between Sarah and Nick as war keeps reshaping the terms of both their lives.
