After her mother’s death, six-year-old Frida is sent from the city to spend the summer of 1993 with her aunt, uncle, and young cousin in the Catalan countryside. The adults try to fold her into a new home, but grief, confusion, and jealousy keep breaking through in small, sharp ways. Frida tests boundaries, acts out, and watches this family closely as she tries to understand where she fits now. Everyday routines—meals, games, church, long afternoons outdoors—become the ground where loss and belonging take shape. Through Frida’s unsettled point of view, the film follows a child learning to live inside a life that has changed without warning.
