When 13-year-old Josh Baskin makes a wish at a carnival machine to be older, he wakes up in an adult body with no idea how to live as one. Tom Hanks is Josh, suddenly navigating New York as a kid in a grown man’s life, while Elizabeth Perkins enters the picture as a co-worker who sees him as just another adult. With help from his best friend Billy, Josh lands a job at a toy company, stumbles through office life and romance, and starts to miss the parts of childhood he was so eager to leave behind.
