School of Rock

Comedy110 min

Fired from his band and short on rent, Jack Black’s Dewey Finn bluffs his way into a fifth-grade substitute-teaching job at a buttoned-up private school. When he hears what his straight-A students can do, the classroom turns into a secret rehearsal space, with Dewey drilling them in guitar riffs, stage moves, and the anti-authority gospel of rock ’n’ roll. Joan Cusack is the school’s tightly wound principal, slowly growing suspicious as Battle of the Bands approaches and Dewey’s scam gets harder to hide.
