Bhumi Pednekar is a struggling local journalist who starts digging into reports of abuse being covered up at a shelter for young girls. What begins as a local investigation grows into a confrontation with the people and institutions keeping the case buried, with the story drawing on the Muzaffarpur shelter case. Sanjay Mishra and Aditya Srivastava are among the key figures around her inquiry, with Sai Tamhankar in the supporting cast. The film stays close to the work of reporting—following leads, facing obstruction, and piecing together a crime that reaches beyond a single facility.
