Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk

ActionAdventureDramaThrillerWar113 min

Nineteen-year-old soldier Billy Lynn returns from Iraq for a stateside victory tour after a harrowing battle turns Bravo Squad into media heroes. Joe Alwyn is Billy, moving through parades, press appearances, and a Thanksgiving football halftime spectacle while memories of combat keep breaking through the pageantry. Around him, Garrett Hedlund’s Sgt. Dime and Billy’s sister Kathryn (Kristen Stewart) offer different ways of making sense of what happened overseas. Directed by Ang Lee, the film follows Billy through the gap between the country’s public celebration and the events he and his squad actually lived through.
