Serafino

Comedy96 min

Adriano Celentano is Serafino, a young, innocent shepherd whose life changes overnight when he inherits a huge fortune. Rather than protect it, he starts spending lavishly on presents for his friends, turning his windfall into a source of envy and conflict inside his own family. Pietro Germi’s 1968 comedy follows the trouble that grows around Serafino’s generosity, as money reshapes his place among the people closest to him. Ottavia Piccolo and Saro Urzì are among the faces around him as his sudden wealth stirs up gossip, resentment, and a widening domestic uproar.
