Sean Connery's James Bond heads to Istanbul when Tatiana (Daniela Bianchi), a Soviet cipher clerk, appears ready to defect with the Lektor, a coveted decoding device. The offer is a setup: SPECTRE wants Bond caught in the middle, with Lotte Lenya's Rosa Klebb helping orchestrate the trap from the Soviet side. As 007 tries to secure Tatiana and the machine, the mission moves through Istanbul and onto the Orient Express, where every handoff and alliance comes with another threat behind it. The second Bond film leans into espionage, double-crosses, and close-quarters danger more than gadgetry.
