Eleven-year-old Charlie has spent her life in hiding while her parents try to keep a shadowy federal agency from turning her fire-starting power into a weapon. Ryan Kiera Armstrong is Charlie, whose abilities flare with pain and anger; Zac Efron’s Andy has spent years teaching her how to contain them while moving the family from place to place. When an incident exposes their location, the pursuit closes in and Charlie’s control starts to slip. Sydney Lemmon appears as her mother, Vicky, as the family is forced out of hiding and into a fight over who gets to decide what Charlie becomes.
