Craig Sheffer is Joseph Thorne, a corrupt Los Angeles detective whose latest murder case leads him to the Lemarchand box — and to Pinhead. As Joseph tracks a madman known only as The Engineer, the line between evidence, guilt, and nightmare starts to collapse, and the people around him begin meeting violent ends. Doug Bradley's Pinhead hangs over the investigation like a sentence waiting to be carried out, while the film pushes the Hellraiser mythology into a dirty police-procedural frame of crime scenes, bad choices, and a mind that may no longer be separating punishment from reality.
