The Big Hit

ActionAdventureComedyCrimeThriller91 min

Mark Wahlberg is Melvin Smiley, an affable hit man whose fellow assassins are always ready to stick him with the blame. When Melvin joins a kidnapping scheme targeting an electronics mogul’s daughter, the job unravels fast: the woman turns out to be the goddaughter of his ruthless crime boss, and Melvin is the one left exposed. As his partners scramble and the underworld starts closing in, he’s also trying to keep his profession hidden from his unsuspecting fiancée, Pam (Christina Applegate). The setup collides contract-killer chaos with a streak of offbeat domestic farce.
