A Hologram for the King

ComedyDramaRomance98 min

Tom Hanks is Alan Clay, a struggling American businessman who travels to Saudi Arabia to pitch a new technology to the King and rescue a career that’s gone off course. What should be a make-or-break sales trip turns into a waiting game shaped by stalled meetings, endless bureaucracy, and a monarch who never seems to arrive. At the same time, Alan is rattled by a suspicious growth on his back, turning a business mission into something more anxious and personal. Tom Tykwer’s film keeps its focus on one man adrift in an unfamiliar place, caught between corporate ritual and private unraveling.
