Bugsy Malone
ActionAdventureComedyCrimeDramaFamilyMusical93 min
In 1929 New York, a gang war erupts between Fat Sam and Dandy Dan, whose latest advantage is the dreaded splurge gun. Scott Baio is Bugsy, a smooth young go-between who gets pulled into the feud just as he falls for Blousey Brown, a singer at Fat Sam’s speakeasy. Jodie Foster’s Tallulah complicates things further, with plans of her own for Bugsy. Written and directed by Alan Parker, the film turns Prohibition-era mob rivalries into a musical comedy, with child actors filling every gangster, nightclub, and street-corner role as the custard pies start flying.
