Takopi's Original Sin

AnimationAnimeDramaSci-Fi24 min per episode

Takopi, a cheerful alien who arrives on Earth to spread happiness, takes on one very human problem after meeting Shizuka, a lonely fourth grader who rarely smiles. Using a stash of magical “Happy Gadgets,” Takopi tries to help, but Shizuka’s pain isn’t something that can be solved with a quick fix. What begins with a bright, childlike sci-fi premise gradually centers on bullying, isolation, and the gulf between Takopi’s innocence and the world he’s stumbled into. The animation balances cute cosmic imagery with a heavier school-age reality as Takopi and Shizuka’s bond takes shape.
