The Sheep Detectives

ActionAdventureComedyCrimeFamilyMystery109 min

Hugh Jackman’s George Hardy is a shepherd who reads detective novels aloud to his sheep each night, convinced the flock can’t possibly follow the plot. When a killing shatters life on the farm, those same sheep decide they’ll have to solve it themselves, working through clues, suspects, and a human world they know mostly from books. Nicholas Braun’s Tim Derry is the local cop on the case, though the flock has little faith in his methods. Voices from Emma Thompson, Hong Chau, Bryan Cranston, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus round out a mystery where the investigators are woolly, sharp-eyed, and far more observant than anyone around them suspects.
