War of the Worlds
DramaMysterySci-Fi47 min per episode
After astronomers detect a transmission from another galaxy, hopes of first contact turn into catastrophe when a sudden alien assault wipes out most of humanity. The survivors are left in an eerily deserted world, trying to stay hidden as the attackers continue hunting those still alive. Gabriel Byrne and Léa Drucker lead the ensemble, with Daisy Edgar-Jones among the people piecing together what happened and why Earth was targeted. The story follows scattered pockets of humanity as scientists, parents, and children search for each other and for any clue about the force closing in around them.
