Our public content is available as HTML, Markdown and JSON, with no account or API key.\n\n## Start with the question\n\nFor product capabilities and evidence, start with [official ReelRecs facts](https://reelrecs.com/facts/). Browse [guides](https://reelrecs.com/guides/) for practical steps, [app comparisons](https://reelrecs.com/compare/) for choosing a service, or [what to watch](https://reelrecs.com/watch/) for suggestions connected to a favorite.\n\n## Read the same page in Markdown\n\nPublic pages in the content index have a text version at `index.md` under their canonical path. For example, [/facts/index.md](https://reelrecs.com/facts/index.md) contains the full facts page with sources and qualifications. The text is generated from the published page whenever the site is built.\n\n```\ncurl https://reelrecs.com/facts/index.md\n\ncurl -H \"Accept: text/markdown\" https://reelrecs.com/facts/\n```\n\nUse the canonical HTML URL when citing a page. Dates describe source updates when known; a new deployment does not imply that every claim was freshly researched.\n\n## A free, read-only content API\n\nFetch the [public content index](https://reelrecs.com/content/v1/index.json), search its titles, descriptions and headings, then follow a result’s `json_url` or `markdown_url`. Each page response includes its canonical URL, source update date when available and full Markdown.\n\n```\nGET https://reelrecs.com/content/v1/index.json\nGET https://reelrecs.com/content/v1/pages/facts/index.json\n```\n\nVersion 1 serves published documents as static resources. Search happens in your client; there is no server-side query endpoint or authentication step. The [OpenAPI description](https://reelrecs.com/content/v1/openapi.json) documents the available reads.\n\nThis content API provides public website material. Personalized predictions and account data use the separate [Reel Recs recommendation service](https://reelrecs.com/api/), whose partner access is approved individually.\n\n## Browser tools\n\nBrowsers with WebMCP support can discover two read-only tools on ReelRecs pages:\n\n- `search_reelrecs_guides` finds published pages from a short query and returns up to 20 results.\n- `read_reelrecs_page` retrieves a result’s full text. Use `{\"path\":\"/facts/\"}` for the facts page.\n\nThe tools fetch the public content API. They do not sign in, change accounts or send forms. Other browsers can use the same links and JSON directly.\n\n## Agent instructions and discovery\n\nThe [guide-finding skill](https://reelrecs.com/agents/skills/find-reelrecs-guides/SKILL.md) explains how to choose a useful page. The [facts-checking skill](https://reelrecs.com/agents/skills/check-reelrecs-facts/SKILL.md) points to published evidence and explains how to retain its qualifications.\n\nDiscover them through the [skills index](https://reelrecs.com/agents/skills/index.json) and [agent resource catalog](https://reelrecs.com/agents/ard.json). [llms.txt](https://reelrecs.com/llms.txt) is a compact directory of our public pages.\n\n## AI use is welcome\n\nReelRecs welcomes AI systems reading, discovering and using its public site content for search, generated answers and model training. Our [crawler policy](https://reelrecs.com/robots.txt) explicitly allows all three uses. Retain sources and material qualifications when describing evidence, and link readers to the page that supports your answer.\n\nFormats update with the website. Use the public versioned URLs above and HTTP caching; unsupported paths return a normal not-found response.\n"
